Sighs of the Sea

Under the vast sky, the deep sea,
Now sighs with an ancient echo,
Of a brief time, of a memory below,
That still entwines itself in its soul.
It was a cloud, candid and light,
That danced upon its mirror one morning,
Reflected for a moment, so true,
A sweet embrace, a fleeting destiny.
But a gentle breath, a wind that guided it,
Carried it away, beyond the blue border,
Leaving the sea in a mournful silence,
Of that form it will never see again.
And even today, in its eternal motion,
Every receding wave a deep sigh,
The sea seeks that candid face,
Lost forever in the immense world.
