Shadows in Rain

The shadows whisper a forbidden tongue,
where every sound is a crack in the wood;
when the rain taps on the empty roof,
they relight names that the darkness had closed.
Each drop is a letter trembling on the glass,
and the forbidden language breathes the scent of ancient tears;
the house, now alive, gathers those whispers
and writes them on the ceiling with the breath of water.
