Veil of Words
When autumn clothes the pathways in brown,
And every fallen leaf tells a story,
There settles, silent, a subtle shadow,
Of words left in the heart, without glory.
Unspoken loves, forgivings never reached the wind,
Silent truths, a quiet lament.
On golden cracks, in a mute embrace,
Their ghost hovers, a veil without peace.
And while the wind whispers ancient and vain tales,
The shadow persists, upon human traces.
A silent inheritance, imprinted on the ground,
Which every heart carries, ethereal and profound.
