Time Beside the Clouds

Time sits upon the edge of the sky,
beside the clouds, to lend an ear
to the dreams of forgotten objects.
A key whispers doors that no longer exist,
a cup breathes steam of lost memories,
a button dreams of holding together a dress never sewn.
Time remains a table of clouds and silence,
the objects remember with invisible hands,
and we remain here, listening to the present that dreams.
