The Silence of Time

A clock whispers, light and fleeting,
sighing to the past, forgetting the present,
its hands stop, enchanted,
in the silence of moments no one has heard.
In its quietude a memory is lost,
a beat of minutes turning into ash,
time dissolves in the wind, so slight,
leaving only a whisper that remembers no more.
