The Grammar of Silence

Among the cracks in rooms inhabited by time
the grammar of silence rises slowly,
every silence is a conjugation that says nothing,
the dust notes the lexicon of waiting.
The cracks widen the vocabulary of glances
and the furniture, witnesses, note pauses
when the noise remains mute, the house breathes
grows the grammar of silence among the walls
