Mirror of Sighs
In the current of the world, a whisper fades,
a face concealed within a thousand silent waves,
a soul dissolving between light and shadow,
and its echo fades without seeking anywhere else.
In the water’s ripple, it searches for a shelter,
but finds only scattered pieces of its self,
the sky’s pure grace, far off and out of reach,
dissolves in currents that sweep the dreams away.
Each droplet is a thought, scattered and pale,
a wish to take flight, yet anchored to the surface,
in the shifting mirror, all sense dissolves,
lost within the water, stripped of any heaven.
And so it is lost, among the clouded tides,
a wandering spirit searches for a clearer sight,
but finds only water, and reflections of a fleeting world,
leaving the heart to question, without reply.
