Breath of Lights
The breath of lights stretches upon the page,
in the hands the paper breathes, an ancient sea;
it shatters into a thousand threads of light, so slight.
The lights break apart in a sea of paper.
Each fragment ignites a word that was not said,
and silently appears among the graphite’s tide.
The shadows dissolve to pearlescent drops.
The warmth reforms within the lines of ink.
A beating page resumes its breath.
When the dawn grazes the edge, the paper sings.
The sea stays motionless, yet still it breathes.
Thus light and word hold hands together.
