Twilight of a Nevermore

The twilight descends, a gray veil,
On the silent field of vain words.
A promise, extinguished like a ray
Of cold moon, among arcane shadows.
No star lights up the horizon anymore
For that future that will not bloom.
Only the echo of a voice, vanished at the source,
In the silence that now will reign here.
