Twilight Among Tracks

The city’s breath stretches out in the twilight.
Billboards vanish, like promises put to rest.
The street holds the last beat of footsteps.
Every corner listens, awaiting a word yet to arrive.
The stories of strangers begin to sing among the noises of the rails.
A woman unrolls memories of rain and unsent letters.
A man sharpens a refrain of trains and broken promises.
The iron pulses with the voices, weaving a small symphony.
Twilight lends its voice to the trembling streetlamps.
The city breathes with a chorus of steps and tiny voices.
In the beat of the track, everything becomes song and memory.
And when night descends, remain the notes of those who never tire of telling tales.
