The Polished Witness

From burning depths, in timeless time,
It came to life in silence, with no rhyme.
A mountain shard, by melted frost unbound,
Through ages vast, within the world profound.

The river’s caress, the surging tide,
Shaped its spirit, steady, deep inside.
The wind and sand, where eons were engraved,
A silent passage to a life behaved.

Now resting still, a shadowed jewel bright,
Beneath the gaze of heaven and of light.
A map of ages in its humble vein,
Telling epic tales through sun and rain.
