The Inertia of the Vanished Idea
Not a plaster shadow, nor an echo of voice
lost within the corridors of ancient speech,
but the vague scent, the swift imprint
of an idea that ceased to burn, to bloom.
It no longer stands straight upon our thoughts,
no guiding star, nor beacon that appears,
yet something, in our pathways,
still feels it, sees it vibrate.
Like a massive planet that has disintegrated,
whose invisible force maintains its course,
so too a concept once illuminated
leaves a silent vortex, a faint bite.
An architecture of air, a shaped void
where thought, by habit, settles,
an absence that shapes our state,
a near-presence, ethereal and curious.
It is not regret, nor ancient doctrine
that hides in silence, awaiting an awakening.
It is the trace of a ray, a divine light
that crossed time, leaving a detail.
The inertia of a shadow that has no body,
but which pushes the sails to different routes,
a weight so light without any burden,
in minds that were once immersed.
