Rain of Names
Silence opens a window in the chest,
and the skin holds its breath, a hidden lake.
Between the ribs flows a light current
that ignites a light where night was silent.
A rain of forgotten names enters without knocking,
names without home in any mouth.
They fall upon the soul like cold drops of rain.
I gather them between my fingers and let them cross the heart.
Some names ignite, others dissolve,
in a niche of time where the eyes reunite.
Silence, now complicit, whispers a voice,
and the chest, window, opens to the breath of the world.
