Names Amidst the Rain

Beneath the hazy sky, the city breathes at a slow pace,
the rain leafs through a library of invisible names,
written on the sidewalks like small constellations of drops,
and my step listens to the letters the street whispers.
The city’s breath expands when the rain reads invisible names written on the sidewalks,
the reflections of lamps become seals upon fading words,
steps of bikes and passersby intertwine into a liquid memory,
and the night folds itself in silence, ready to guard what remains.
