Lights of Absence

In broken glass, they are reflected
stars that do not know how to be lost,
fallen into the void of a vanished dream,
casts of light, far from words.
The reflection dissolves, slides away,
like the memory of an echo without sound,
and in the cup that takes its shape,
I think of the night that will not return.
Every star, a fragment of desire,
trapped in a silent liquid,
it shines with nothingness, with a past
that the heart seeks and cannot find.
The stars fall, but hope does not,
in the void of a dream that escapes,
the dark reflection, leco of a song,
a memory of light, now far away.
