Broken Hours

On the dormant tracks, an iron piano breathes,
cracks recount a time that is gone forever.
The deserted station whispers ancient songs,
dust harmonizes footsteps that won’t turn back.
Secret music tricks time with shattered hours,
rusty clocks beat out to the rhythm of the breeze.
Sign arrows trace a zigzag like trembling notes,
and the staircases curve, becoming a metal stave.
If you remain, the hall expands and time reflects,
in the moon within the fractured track ignites.
A train that never comes takes your hand and smiles,
and the echo stays a sudden symphony through closed doors.
