Underground Smile
The root’s smile lengthens into the dark,
unrolling unseen roads beneath memory’s ground;
each line is a returning breath,
a small path calling those who once walked here.
I walk through subterranean paths, so silent,
the earth holds hours and names like seeds;
the walls tell tales in a root-script alphabet,
and the echo of the past follows me, step by step.
When the surface breathes, the pathways fade away,
but the smile remains, a map within the now;
memory ignites like a city beneath the ground,
and I find the path between what was and what remains.
