The Instantaneous Surrender of the Sphere

Light bubbles, a dance of air and soap,
a taut film, a flawless illusion.
Keepers of a moment, a passing rainbow,
a distorted mirror of a world that won’t be still.
Suspended in the void, a trembling cage,
awaiting touch, the gentle decay.

Non an explosion, nor a scream of shattered glass,
but a dry collapse, a silent song.
The membrane yields, no longer bound to hold
the breath of nothingness it used to keep.
In that non-time, the final thrust,
a freedom unmatched by any trust.

It is the precise spot where the boundary bends,
the shape negates itself, the outline ends.
Only left is the echo of quick strain,
the energy withdrawn, the pressure drained again.
An instant ending, a principle undone,
the weightless presence of a void begun.
