# Echo of Stars

In the dispersed silence between clouds and wind,
an echo of a storm loses its song,
among the stars that know forgotten mystery.
A dance of streaks, embroidery of light,
they swirl through the void, almost on tiptoes,
leaving traces of an elusive harmony.
Now the sky, immense curtain, listens

that is lost and found within the stars' rhythm.

## Explanation

The poem constitutes a lyrical meditation on the immensity and ephemeral nature of cosmic beauty. It is not an account of events, but rather an investigation into a state of being: that suspended between the violent noise of the storm and the deep quietude that follows. The author uses an extremely rich and synesthetic imagery to transform natural space – the night sky – into a theatrical, almost mythological scene.

The central motif is the "echo," which is not simply acoustic reverberation, but a metaphor for memory, for the trace left by time and experience. The echo of the lost storm suggests a past event, a chaotic force dissolving into silence; it is the emotional resonance of natural power reduced to a whisper. This sonic fragility contrasts powerfully with the element of the stars: the stars represent deep time, eternity, and inevitable mystery, serving as an immobile counterpoint to the fleeting dance of streaks and lights.

The description of light is never static. The use of the verb "vorticano" (swirl) confers almost vital movement upon the void, suggesting that absence itself is charged with energy. The language becomes embroidered ("ricami di luce"), elevating the meteorological phenomenon to an act of extremely delicate and structured art, as if nature were weaving blankets of luminous lament.

However, it is in the concluding passage that the poem reaches its greatest philosophical depth. The sky
